What was the highlight of The Emerald Cove Koh Chang
The pool area is wonderful and the pool itself is a dream. The room is huge and super clean. The beach area is also a huge plus, the water is warm, calm and clean, and you can watch a beautiful sunset from it. The spa is also top notch.
Room had a little smell of mildew. The breakfast was just ok.

The room was a good size and comfortable with a good size balcony the hotel has a good pool right on the beach and good amenities.
Out side the hotel there is not a lot around locally ok it was low season but even if it was high season nothing would change outside its pretty run down.

What was the highlight of The Emerald Cove Koh Chang
The place is perfect. The swimming pool is really that big as on the pictures (1.5 m deep). The aircon works fine. Everything is provided in the room (including bath robes, and umbrellas), there is even a little handbag to carry the ridiculously huge bath towels to the pool. The breakfast is good, there is a hot thai food selection (including soup) other than the continental. (The resort is on the beach, but I did not go into the water, I was scuba diving enough.)
If I really try hard to find something bad, then it is the completely illogical switches controlling the lights in the room, and there is hard to set the shower to the right temperature... Other than that, the one real problem that everything is expensive in the resort (food, cloth cleaning, massage), which is expected though.

Great location and facilities. Stunning views and large rooms.
Breakfast service. Having to clean and set our own table as there appeared to be no staff. Food was inconsistent, along with service, but at its best was very good. Lots of food not replaced for later sittings, which was a shame because we had heard great things about the hotel, especially breakfast.
